How to write your page

From title to review: photos, layout, biographies, links and references.

  1. Create an account and verify your email

Register with a username, email and password. Name, mobile and designation are optional. Activate your account using the email link, log in and choose Create your page on your dashboard.

  2. Choose the subject, category and language

Use a clear subject title: a person, place, book or discovery. Select the language of your writing. The address is generated automatically. To update an existing published page, use its Edit link rather than creating a duplicate.

  3. Write the introduction, biography and main text

Explain the subject in a short introduction, or leave it empty to use an excerpt from the main text. A biography can use sections for early life, education, work and achievements. Avoid private details and unsupported claims.

  4. Use headings, layouts and safe HTML

Use the editor buttons for headings, lists, tables, callouts and quotes. Open More tools on mobile. The HTML import accepts supported content formatting. Scripts, embedded frames and page-wide styling are removed to keep pages safe and responsive.

  5. Add photos only when needed

Choose a JPG or PNG for the main photo. Use the additional image upload and Insert button for an image inside the text. Descriptions help accessibility; an empty main-image description uses the title. No photo means no empty image frame. Use images you have rights to and retain required credits.

  6. Add links and labelled references

Select meaningful text and use the Link button with a complete HTTPS URL. In Sources, give each reference a useful label, such as Official institutional report. Add another source creates another reference. At least one reliable source is required to submit an article for review.

  7. Use optional facts and automatic SEO

Add label/value pairs to the facts box, such as Field of work | Education. An empty SEO title uses the page title; an empty SEO description uses a short introduction excerpt. A blog without a separate social image uses its main photo. Tags, CTA links and social overrides are optional.

  8. Save a draft, preview and submit for review

Save unfinished work as a draft and check Preview before submitting. Provide at least 150 characters of main text, a valid source and the accuracy confirmation. Review feedback arrives in Notifications. Improve and resubmit the same draft; it becomes public after approval.
