Your writing and content rights

You retain the rights you hold in your original writing. By submitting it, you permit Hindustan Pedia to host, display, format, moderate and preserve it as part of this platform and its contribution history. Do not present another person’s work as your own original creation.

Sources, images and licences

Applicable source licences and required credits continue to apply to material obtained elsewhere. Where an article adapts licensed material, its source, original authors, revision history and licence information are linked through the content and photo credits page. Uploading material does not make you its rights holder.

Article review and tags

New articles and contributor edits are published after review. Administrators may request improvements, reject submissions or remove an already published page. Tags may explain issues found during moderation. A rejection does not always include a separate written explanation. Read tag meanings in the public guide.

Duplicate pages and account restrictions

If a subject already has a page, suggest improvements there instead of creating a duplicate. After an explicit administrator warning, another new duplicate submission matching the known title can suspend the account for one calendar month. An administrator may restore access early. False information, promotion, harassment or other misuse may also lead to moderation action.

Reporting an error or concern

Use the report option for factual errors, privacy concerns or content-rights issues. Do not submit unsupported allegations, confidential information, impersonation or unauthorised material. A badge does not guarantee identity, qualifications or the accuracy of every statement.
