What is Hindustan Pedia?

Hindustan Pedia is an independent knowledge platform for understanding India and sharing accurate information about it. Hindustan represents Bharat, while Pedia expresses our commitment to sharing knowledge. We aim to make information about India’s people, places, history, culture, institutions, ideas and discoveries understandable and accessible.

A home for knowledge about India

Pages can cover biographies, public life and politics, historical events, local heritage, books and literature, art, science, sport, nature, businesses, products and companies connected to India. Blog posts can explore news and events with clear dates, context and reliable references.

Our purpose

We want useful knowledge to reach readers, from widely known personalities to local history. Readers should be able to understand the available evidence, what remains uncertain and when information changed. Clear sources, neutral writing and a practical correction process guide this work.

How contributions and review work

Contributors register and verify their email before writing a draft or suggesting changes to an existing page. Contributor submissions become public after editorial review. When improvements are needed, the contributor receives a reason and can revise the same draft. Administrators manage publication, corrections and site operations.

Read and contribute in your language

Content can be written in Hindi and English. Listings and search results follow the selected website language. If no content exists in that language, other languages are not mixed into the results. Published articles are not automatically translated; each language version must be written and reviewed separately.

Sources, corrections and responsibility

Factual claims should have useful references. Promotional claims, unsupported allegations, private information and rights violations are not acceptable contributions. Review does not guarantee that every error has been removed. Readers can report concerns or propose sourced corrections. Deliberate misinformation and rule violations may lead to account restrictions.
